Around the time D and R came out I bought it. It was easily one of Baez's' finest efforts.
This one elevated ones ability to feel emotion, sadness, bittersweet joy, etc to new levels. As with most albums there was/is always the risk of bombs. Perhaps it was because of 'Children and all that Jazz' that the album barely placed? Just saying.
Thanks for bringing that album back into memory, honestly I think it's been since late 70s' that I've heard it.
Good read. I'd question your wrinkle about Springsteen and his third place placement but why? Let it pass, haha.
