As an every day sort of fan to this new series I dont really get all the squeeling.

There are some things that could bear some serious improvement having to do with the story flow and yes, with the less than par actors. From one scene to the next all too often it's a big stretch to stitch the narration together. Forces the story to slow to a dragging crawl. This could be fatal for such an ambitious effort.

Then the actors. Geez. Where'd they get this bunch anyway. I'm not going to start down the list but there isnt one key actor who passes muster. Exception being the dwarf king's son. Oh, and yes, the elfin blonde queen of something, she is good if not just a tad lacking elfin (human) emotion. After all, it is humans watching this show. Then the Liam Neeson lookalike elfin king. Geez. Liam would've shouldered the whole damn show! The acting is just plain dry.

The young wanna be soldier whines and whimpers along so much that you wish maybe a battle would do us all a favor.

Then the young drifter like guy, who turns out to be a major king, (yes, the Vigo Mortenson stand in) pray tell what the hell does he have on his lip? Is it a cold sore? Why?

The cauterizing of the pleasantly breasted lady town leader who takes an arrow during the fight with the maligned orcs was way, way too simplistic. Then the brown dude who is trying the fill the shoes of the other brown dude in Game of Thrones who fought and led the dragon queen's army Grey Worm. Shame on you! By god just kiss the woman would you!? Not even close!

In fact, the sub acting just goes on and on. While incredible scenes and lands are in fact jaw dropping bad acting is not so easily smoothed

over.

Still. I did go through the whole thing. Partly in hopes that I'd be rescued from drowning in cinematic dismay. The story just, and I mean just, carried me through. There was so much a run of the mill writer could do to raise the quality levels here. As for the actors... There are times when bringing in the 'big guns' is worth it.

The whole thing, pre release, was given such glorious intro. The marketing I suppose. But when they do that, it brings to mind the question that if the reviewers are not careful, they will lose readers who believed them.
