You landed this one square on the mark. Really too much to respond too as it all resonates. As one who at my ‘administration peak’ I ‘ran’ just over 300 employees. I absolutely loved it, every damn minute the twelve hours through.

Interestingly I too have always felt that x military people, especially those hardened in combat to be head and shoulders above the rest. Sure, there are the remarkable exceptions. Vets just bring that terrific sense of mission, often fearless, in your face honesty so appreciated in the real world.

Yes, there is a noticeable difference in most things that matter when comparing combat tested people to those who spent their time far away from the real fire. I of course do not share in that military past but my admiration and respect for those who did has no bounds.
