It would appear as though Medium and it's inner workings is fast transforming into a chaotic herd of runaway wildlife threatening to run itself off the edge of the cliff...

For a starting writer and member such as myself this indeed can shake things up.

As an old, (now mostly retired) business administrator it seems to me that a letter of clarification from the Medium Highest Office. Might be useful. The worst thing for a business operation is confusion.

In a nut shell: This letter is at most a two pager, not more. Spelling out point by point those things screaming for clarification.

Crisis management is necessary when the hordes (us, Mediums bread and butter) come clamoring with pitch forks to the palace gates, a la French rev..., asking for solutions. Act now whilst the opportunity is still optimum. It's no longer optimum when the hordes have decided to fly the coop, jump ship...

A super tanker on a collision course never gets turned around in time (too damn heavy) unless leadership takes action before it's too late.

Not my desire to paint a doomsday picture here, so I'll soften it by saying that worst case scenario (at this point!) may simply be many disgruntled writers and the headaches that will result.
