I used to think Santana was born in Nicaragua. I know. I'm from Guatemala and some dude told me that years ago, late sixties... After a morning radio rock talk show in Kansa City said at least three times Carlos was Mexican I called in from my car. Called them onto the carpet, felt like a rock badass too. Only to quickly discover, my egg covered face, I was flat, stupidly wrong.

Somehow this was supposed to be rolled into your Belgium note. Oh well.

Okay, to round this out. For me, Santanas best, recent, has to be Smooth (Harlem Monalisa) hands down best, even better than so much of his sixties wonders.
