As you say I think it's lots more than just writing...

For me any way, the one book I wrote became an adventure as rich and as pure as any Ive ever experienced.

I was drawn to my desk every day, often for hours on end digging out the story. It's as though the story was already there and something was prompting for it to emerge.

As you say, it must be different for everyone. I've also heard that every writer encounters his or her plot in different ways. Some insinuate themselves to us, I think this is when writing is at its sweetest.

Other times its like pulling hens teeth, each line can be pain.
