Hi Linda,

Damn. Coming from you these are some pretty sobering sentiments. The Medium folks would do well to have a listen.

As an avid Medium reader, I frequently wonder if writers who normally are on a roll can get stuck in ruts. Of course, this can and does happen. But what if a writer produces top stuff as they have for some time and the numbers drop? Means there's something else happening.

A real no brainer.

Obviously Medium has to balance out gratuitous writing, crap, versus work that approaches fine art, real literary type of stuff. After all they are a business. profit driven. Those two words should be done up on a golden plaque and placed over every business's front door.

As a result, we get written material that even I will not torture myself to drag myself through!

Thank God there are the writers who provide us quality reading, yes, you amongst them Linda. Medium needs to remember this. There is always a danger of favoring numbers and crapola over the reading that feeds the reader in a good way.

I love writing for Medium despite that they still can't pay people from Guatemala. Oh, I'm not kidding myself here, I wouldn't even rate a silver dollar a month. But still.

Whatever it is. I've seen unsettled voices raising questions about Mediums administration of late and on an increasing spectrum.

If one of those, is you, then Medium would be wise to listen.

Best.

Tom
