I was pleasantly surprised reading your account of being married to an Asian wife.

Some twenty five years ago I married my wife who is Honduran.

I could share so many stories about belonging to a mixed marriage.

Perhaps most importantly I'd not change a thing. As the years go by my gratitude and love for my Latina just grows. Yes, she will often refer to me as 'mi gringito', or her 'gordito' which means my beloved fat one. Yes, this is a Latin thing and it's wonderful.

Naturally when going through a short lived rough patch she will refer to me as her pendejo or her cabron, or worse... Yes, well deserved no doubt.

My theory and hope is that as the number of mixed marriages grows perhaps we will find ourselves living in a more enlightened world.
