Well I am a boomer but I-ve never felt any sort of political or cultural affinity one way or the other on all the crap that swirls around on the web, Face book, etc. Oh of course I wouldnt be human if I didnt have any leanings...

I think the fact that I'm one of those boomers who started out cyber adverse and now years too late trying, having to, understand it and participate. But this has left me sorely out of touch. Even the simple dynamic of hello and goodbye on the social platforms leaves me a little clue less.

I certainly relate to your observations and for me the onslaught of the extremes leaves me a bit wondering which way to go.

Probably the reason why Medium has proven to be my chosen outlet of emotions, viewpoints, and voicing soapstand for those things I feel I might share...
