Very much enjoyed your telling. Your story. Your lament? Your, um, calling out?

Simply my response is to insist to you and all of those of us who are post 70 that you absolutely get a 'pass'. Please do not doubt this for a second!

At 70 plus we can take a step back, sit back, feet up on coffee table, etc. The simple fact we have reached this gateway age gives us the right damn it. Yes, it does.

If we are forgetful, then so what? Show me a teenager who isn't! I'm sure you've noticed that.

And if in fact our forgetfulness is age relayed that's because we've lived the full life.

Take heart! Grab a hold of that which gives you a measure of joy. Your age has given you that right, no explanations required...
