Lots said!

Andrea thanks for such a thought provoking and well thought out piece!

Im white, Irish, freckled and cancerous, terrible skin. I'd trade skin with my Latina wife of thirty years in a second . Hers is a radiant and flawless cinnamon dark brown, from Honduras and a mix that includes spanish colonial, some french and Italian, etc.

Im glad to say that somehow my wife didnt encounter your challenges because of her skin tone. Im sorry you went through the challenges that you have.

My take on it is as long as we keep 'mixing' colores at some distant point we're going to end up with a pervasive shade of something. Perhaps then human kind may shed its ignorance and stupidity and a misguided sense of superiority when it comes to skin color.

Thanks again

Tom
