My take is that these top writers have chosen the early hours to work. At least from my limited perspective there's real value in reading what the 'pros' do.

Thanks for pulling together this info. We look in every corner for that elusive inspiration. My god, most times, just to sit down and to stop messing around, enough coffee, enough paper shuffling, petting the dog, on and on...takes more than what I can offer.
