We need to hold in mind that Putin is not right in the head. In his sick and drug addled state his singular take on reality is dangerously off center. An off center move here could absolutely mean a nuclear strike. Either as a 'if I go to hell, we all go...' or, he has convinced himself that one or two low end tactical strikes will somehow not result in a western counterstrike. Some dangerously, weird thinking.

Remember, even if the dictator is bluffing how many times in history has bluffing tripped into taking regrettable action?

The most pressing matter besides Putins head is the notion that now Moscow (Putin) can claim as theirs the piece of Ukraine the Russians grabbed early on. Defies all logic, clearly Russia needs to get out fully. If they don't and are somehow able to negotiate to keep what they grabbed think of the precedent that would be set. Seriously, can anyone imagine Zelensky giving in to the mad man? Especially now that the Russians are running for their lives.

Alexander, these potentially globe changing issues are new territory for all of us making these topics fair game to all of us armchair diplomats, (yes, me for example),

Clearly there are no clear answers. It's simply survival.

We need to be careful not to jump to conclusions that say that if putin uses one or two low end tactical weapons that WW3 is inevitable. Of course WW3 is inevitable. It is inevitable! These three words need to be in the headlines all over the globe.

As long as we are still alive and talking there is still a chance. Talking is all we have left. Amongst other 'tools' in the box talking has to be on the forefront.
