Yes as you say, for me it's a spectrum as well. To what extent am I willing to put sauce into the story at the perceived expense of hanging myself 'out there'?

Wasn't surprised, was pleased to see, that you quoted King from his: On Writing. I've read many writing tell hows but King takes it to another level. Yeah I know, sounds like a worn out something or other...

But there I go, how much am I willing to say Kings thoughts rocked my world without up setting my personal zone? I think we need to be willing to cross that line.
