This has been an issue all my life. Yes, I do ask for help when against a wall. But generally it's very hard for me to ask for stuff.

The other part to this might be is that too often asking for a special favor all too often means you now owe certain person something. May not be a big deal, but it could be.

I have discovered during these last few years, I'm seventy, that if I really need something, have to have it in a serious way I swallow my pride and ask.
