Wow! No kidding. I’m in the same, damned boat. I’m writing you from that same wild state. No neatly cultivated bone yard full of temporarily discarded ideas. No plot being adhered to, no outline, no title I’m following.

How wonderful the writing that magically flows, one , two, three, start ,middle, end.

Though one might assume that probably most writers write from this mad state it’s nice to see someone(you) pointing out this sorry state.

I agree as well that with enough effort, even in this state, some acceptable writing may emerge!
